Campfire-Spiced Venison Steaks

Steak about to be seasoned with the Butcher's Grove

 Get that campfire, rustic-edge flavor without the camp—Our Campfire-Spiced Venison Steaks are rich, smoky, and pack a wild-game punch thanks to The Butcher’s Grove blend. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 venison steaks (approx. 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp The Butcher’s Grove dry rub
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil 
  • Optional: a squeeze of lemon or a pat of butter for finishing
     

Directions:

  1. Pat steaks dry and rub both sides with olive oil. 
  2. Generously coat with The Butcher’s Grove.
  3. Sear over high heat—grill or cast-iron pan—for ~3–4 min per side (adjust for thickness), until medium-rare.
  4. Rest for 5 minutes; finish with lemon or butter if desired.

Meatballs perfected using The Butcher's Grove

 Rustic comfort in a bite—these Wilderness Meatballs are smoky, juicy, and ready to top pasta, fill a sub, or disappear straight off the tray. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground venison or beef
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp The Butcher’s Grove
  • Optional: ¼ cup grated onion or shredded cheese
     

Directions:

  1. Mix everything together gently—don’t overwork.
  2. Roll into 1.5-inch balls.
  3. Bake at 400°F for 18–20 min, or pan-fry until browned and cooked through.
