From Lab Coats to Lesson Plans to Spice Blends

Hi, I’m Jonathan and I didn’t grow up dreaming of spice blends, but life has a way of stirring things together you never expected!

I started with a background in physics and earned a master’s in biosystems and agricultural engineering - focusing on turning the plants we throw away into useful fuel for not only farmers, but for everyone! For a while, I was deep in lab work and corporate grind—until life, like it does, flipped the script.

When the pandemic hit, I pivoted into teaching, but that shift opened a door I didn’t know I needed - connecting with people, helping them grow, and staying rooted in purpose. But even as a teacher, I needed something hands-on, something that brought together creativity, curiosity, and a little everyday magic!

And that’s how Evergreen Pantry was born!

These small-batch spice blends? They’re more than just seasoning - they’re the result of long nights of experimenting, adjusting, and testing. Science meets soul - a little teaching, a little tinkering, a whole lot of heart!
